Description
Etienne Houben wrote the beautiful work Nyama for the drum band of the Royal Harmony of Thorn. This was one of the controversial compositions of the WMC program of this drum band, with which they achieved the coveted title of 'World Champion'. Nyama represents an ancient and occult force, an all-encompassing lifeline from which the life, past, present and future of the Jelis (a type of African Troubadours) is built.
