“Beneath the Blue” takes you on a trip to the bottom of the ocean. A hidden world in midnight blue, where strange creatures writhe and nature still has free rein. Where the sunlight no longer penetrates, and no one sees the beauty. Where strange swimmers suffer the wild whims of the water, where fish and coral are threatened by plastic. With dark, deep chords, percussive effects and a cinematic main theme, “Beneath the Blue” is a musical journey into the unknown underwater world, a secret splendor that only the ocean can offer. Compulsory piece for the 2024 "ONSK" Percussion Ensemble Contest, the Netherlands
