Program Notes

“When You Hear The Soft Roar When There Is No Sound” refers to the sound within the body that is only audible in nearly perfect external silence. The music is about self discovery, and inner stillness, finding the space within ourselves in which we can listen and be heard with understanding and forgiveness. The music is meant to encourage the search for freedom and peace in our spirit in order to imagine it more fully in our daily lives. “When You Hear The Soft Roar When There Is No Sound” was commissioned by Juliet Prater. - Julie Spencer
