Review

This new book is a noteworthy addition to the long list of beginning snare drum books. This 80-page publication is divided into 30 well-organized lessons, each with a specific point and all arranged in a logical progression. The material is practical and helps prepare the player to meet the demands he will be faced with when playing music today. The printing is large and clear and the explanations are easy to understand. BEGINNING SNARE DRUMMER shows a great deal of foresight understandable since the author is a percussionist with the New York Philharmonic.
