1. All three players must be comfortable switching between eighth-note, triplet and sixteenth-note subdivisions.
2. If possible, use the rims of drums with three distinct pitches. Additionally, three pairs of sticks with different pitches will be most effective. Instead of drums' rim, you could use other "instruments" that create a clicking sound, such as wood blocks.
3. Several moments throughout the piece feature 3:2 polyrhythms, which are simultaneous combination of eighth-note triplets and eighth notes.
