Description
Opening Toccata is meant to be played as fast as possible; very acrobatic. Minuet emphasizes long, smooth lines with a few instant tuning changes. Beguine and Samba ups the ante on instant tuning changes, adding in Right Hand vs. Left Hand polyrhythms. Polka is nimble and light. Ballade demands a very high amount of control on the pedals. 5/8 Dance is rhythmically more complex than the other movements. Rock Stock is bombastic, asking players to use their hands and fingers as well.
