This book is for rhythmic and instrumental difficulties that a student will encounter in musical scores. It shows how important it is to read music and have good technique. There are four volumes and it goes from beginner to professional. It starts of showing the student how to count music with the bass and snare drum, first with quarter and eighth notes and then to harder rhythms. It actually gets to very difficult rhythms later on and he uses specific dynamics. This book ends with advanced level rhythms, but it is broken down to the student in a progressive order that will create an understanding for the student. It also contains about five different languages in the book so the student can start learning important foreign musical terms that will be in their music.

I think this could be a useful book to study from, although it is very confusing because there are so many languages in this book. Instead of thorough explanations, it’s full of one explanation in English, one in French, one in German, one in Spanish, and one in Romanian. This will be important terms for the student to know, but it makes the book look unorganized. Also, a teacher is definitely needed to teach a student from this book so the teacher can explain what the composition is working on and what it all means. Overall, I think this book has good intentions, but it's different to the American eye so keep this in mind and you'll be more successful with the book.
