American Drum has been manufacturing mallets for all aspects of the percussion family since 1965. Owned and operated by George Jacob, founder of the company, American Drum has set a high standard for other mallet companies to follow. As a college student, George noticed a market for custom-made mallets with a life expectancy longer than a nine-week grading period. Using everything from waxed nylon and Lexan to heavy-gauge aluminum, he developed a line of mallets appreciated around the world for their durability and finesse.
