As a performer on both vibraphone and other various percussion instruments, Eric has performed all styles of music from jazz to pop to salsa to orchestral, and just about everything in between. Eric has shared the stage with such musicians as Elvis Costello, Maureen McGovern, Glen Campbell, Rosana Eckert, and Ed Smith. Eric performs regularly with his own Eric Martin Trio, as well as with Dana Sudborough’s Marumba. Eric is an in-demand teacher and clinician in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. He has previously held positions at University of Texas at Arlington, Texas State University-San Marcos, and Texas Lutheran University. As a clinician, Eric has worked with students from all over the country. As a composer and arranger, Eric has had pieces performed at such prestigious conventions as the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the Midwest Music Clinic, and the Texas Music Educators Association convention. He has been published by Keyboard Percussion Publications, K. Wylie Publications, and his own ejm publications.
