Alejandro Gonzalez began teaching in Texas Public Schools in 2011. He is the inventor and patent holder for the community percussion practice table known as the P-1000. Most recently, Mr. Gonzalez taught at Walsh MS in Round Rock ISD. During this time, the band recorded for and earned performance spotlights at the 2021 Midwest Clinic and the 2024 Music for All National Concert Band Festival. Previously, he served as Assistant Band/Percussion Director at Ellison HS and was the inaugural Director of Bands at Smith MS. His bands have consistently received superior ratings at UIL Evaluations. Mr. Gonzalez is currently teaching lessons and touring the P-1000 in the Central Texas Area. He loves working and sharing ideas with students and colleagues to build fun and engaging memories around music. When he is not working on his creations or teaching, Mr. Gonzalez loves cooking, hiking, kayaking, gardening, and raising his puppy, cats, and chickens with his partner. Mr. Gonzalez is a member of the Salyer’s Percussion Education Team and is a proud supporter of Saylers Percussion products.
