Edward Freytag has taught applied percussion at Tomlinson College, Lee University, Cumberland University and was the Professor of Percussion at the University of Tennessee At Chattanooga. Mr. Freytag has been a percussion section member of both the Knoxville Symphony and the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestras. He served as Percussion Caption Head for the DCA Drum & Bugle Corps "Music City Legend" in 2008 and 2009. He also has an extensive background as an adjudicator and clinician in both the percussion and jazz areas.

Edward Freytag is the founder of BOD Productions Music Services, Guru Graphics, Serious Percussion Publications, and is currently working as a freelance percussion artist and studio musician, private instructor, percussion and jazz clinician, and staff writer for Row-Loff Productions in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Freytag is currently the percussion and jazz specialist for Eagleville HS and Whitworth-Buchanan MS. [1]
