Blunder and Thazes by Larry Lawless is a fun, circus piece for 12 percussionists. The opening theme (marked "Tempo di Clown Car") is based on the well-known circus tune "Thunder and Blazes" (also known as "Entry of the Gladiators") by Julius Fucik. In addition to covering all the sound effects, the 12th player is instructed to leave the stage for a while and then return in a clown costume performing a circus act
