Tambourines

SoundArt Series

Shell: The core of a SoundArt tambourine is a solid, Ash shell. We use skilled hand craftsmanship and advanced machinery to showcase the shell's natural beauty.
Jingle Slots: Parallel jingle slots are two different depths. This allows the jingle sets to contact the shell at different times, creating a fuller, more robust sound.
Jingles: Our jingles are hammered in such a way to produce a full sonority while balancing characteristics such as attack, tessitura, sustain, projection and tone.
Heads: SoundArt tambourines are available with either translucent calf or Remo Renaissance heads.

S3 Series

Shell: S3 tambourines have a solid, steam bent Cherry shell, which is lighter and less dense than the Ash found on our SoundArt tambourines.
Jingle Slots: Parallel jingle slots are two different depths. This allows the jingle sets to contact the shell at different times, creating a fuller, more robust sound.
Jingles: Aged Brass jingles produce a Sensitive, Subtle, and Sophisticated sound for those musical passages that require delicacy.
Heads: SoundArt tambourines are available with either translucent calf or Remo Renaissance heads.

Arch Bronze

Arch Bronze triangles have a a full and complex overtone spread. The thinner rod and arch shape lowers the relative pitch of the instrument for a darker character and timbre than our Legacy Bronze models.
Arch Shape: The dimpled arch shape of the triangle increases overtone complexity and character.
Rod: Arch Bronze model triangles use 7/16" diameter bronze rod for a lower relative pitch.

Artisan

Artisan Triangles have a broad overtone response throughout their wide dynamic range. Precisely bent corners make rolls easier. Plus, our triangles have three sides for increased triangularity.
Tapered Ends: The ends of triangles are tapered, which raises the relative pitch of the instrument (and looks cool).
Plating: E-plating protects the metal from corrosion, but is .0005 inches thin and does not interfere with overtones.

Legacy Bronze

Legacy Bronze triangles have a lush and brilliant overtone spread. The sustain of each model is exceptional, with rolls and single notes sounding marvelous. We actually had to shorten the sound sample below - they ring that long.
Tapered Ends: Each Legacy Bronze model features tapered ends, which raises the relative pitch of the instrument (and looks cool).
Texture: The dimpled texture of our Legacy Bronze triangles helps to produce their exceptional overtones and sustain.

Design: The Baltic Birch resonator box is built to last with classy dovetail joints and ply construction.
Tongue: The flange-shaped tongue provides focus and volume, with an elegant curved divider.
Soundboard: The soundboard is solid rock maple, producing a warm, full, traditional sound.
Sweet Spot: Pitches are marked Hi and Lo for immediate identification, with approximate sweet spot targets. (each drum is a little bit different)

Concert Toms

Black Swamp concert toms are sonically designed for the performance hall, producing a full bodied sound with punch, clarity and definition. More than just a collection of drumset toms, these concert toms will perform at an exceptional level by every level of percussionist.
Arch2 Lugs: Exclusive Arch2 lugs were designed specifically to match the unique look of our famous arch style tube lugs. The self-aligning tube receivers ensure easy and consistent tuning Maple Shells: 5-ply Maple shells with custom bearing edges produce a warm and musical sound. (6" & 8" toms are 8 ply Maple)
Iso-Mounts: Each tom is supplied with an isolation mounting system for freedom of movement and resonance, as well as increased sustain.
Tripod Stand: Toms are sold individually or in pairs. Each pair includes a double-braced tripod stand with ball joint arms and 1/2" posts.
Sizes: 6"X8" / 8"X8" / 10"X8" / 12"X10" / 13"X11" / 14"X12" / 15" X14" / 16"X14"
