Description
An aerophone made by stretching a large rubber band on a frame that is spun, allowing the band to vibrate and create a tone. This can be done as a double wind wand with two rubber bands and can produced two separate tones.
Etymology and Alternative Spellings
Construction
These can be made with simple tools and dowels purchased at a hardware or hobby store. I have made many of these at different lengths starting at 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 28 inches. I also use rubber bands from Dykema rubber bands. Style is - 12C - 12″x1/2″x1/16″
