A challenging solo - this title makes uses of a myriad of contemporary techniques for solo snare drum. Combines the best elements of a fine recital piece - audience appeal with technical challenges and nuances for the performer to master. Print version includes CD with performance by Fumihiro Ono. This work is his first solo Snare Drum piece. It was composed to apply for the Cat. composition of the 15th PAS Italy Percussion Competition. The theme is "entering the world in a watch". When the analog clock's exact ticking (ticking clock) is broken once (clock is off), the clocking begins again. After various grooves, variations and improvisations, the end is finished with a digital clock (speedy clock). A lot of the special techniques are included in elements of the piece, but they use only to evoke the near-future atmosphere. The purpose is to show the player a seemingly technical song and to actually express the universal theme of "time" to the fullest extent. Therefore, players should not stick to showing technology. People's lives and times are closely related, but if you feel that it is important to sometimes forget time and return to the human nature and enjoy it. I pray, „Clock Speed" will remain as a new piece, and dedicate this work as a special gratitude to everyone! Clock Speed is awarded the 2nd place winner  PAS Italy Composition Contest 2017.
