Program Notes
Corroboree is an entertaining musical piece that briefly recounts the history of—particularly—Aborigines in Australia. It begins with a brief general history lesson. Aboriginal life is then depicted through the Corroboree and life in the bush. But today, we are dealing with a westernized Australia. The current population is also musically represented in this work. Therefore, the piece concludes with the song that "western" Australians adopted as their own national anthem.
