Program Notes

This work, written specifically for snare drum, was composed for the contemporary music festival "Two Days & Two Nights of New Music" in August 2009. This work describes the psychological moment that Jesus could have lived before and during the Via Crucis: the anxiety of his destiny, the feeling of abandonment of his Father, and resignation of the expected and his death. The snare drum is interpreted in all its possible resources evoking a contemporary air that enters in context with the religious atmosphere and humanly tragic.
