Overview

Tom, the drummer, accompanies young beginners through all three volumes of the Snare Drum School. In the first volume, everything is worked out step by step, from correct posture and stick posture to reading notes and the first simple techniques and rhythms to simple pieces for one or two players.

The second volume ties in with the successful mixture of so-called “technos”, which contain new rhythms and techniques, and solo and ensemble pieces. In addition, the students are introduced to casual and creative play with the concept of “listening, watching and playing”.

The third volume follows on from the familiar structure of volume 2. There are lots of accent and vortex exercises, the most important rudiments are shown, new time signatures are learned and also improvised. With the school for snare drum, the coordination of timing, technique and sound will soon no longer be a problem!
