In 1966, Yasnori Yamaguchi held a percussion solo recital at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, attracting attention. In 1970, Yasnori Yamaguchi premiered Toru Takemitsu's "The Four Seasons" at the Osaka World Expo. From 1972 to 1973, he was a member of the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1972, he formed the contemporary music performance group "Ark" with pianist Aki Takahashi and flutist Hiroshi Koizumi. In 1983, Yasnori Yamaguchi received the "First Kenzo Nakajima Award." In the same year, he held a solo recital at the "11th Music Today" event, planned by Toru Takemitsu. In 1993, Yasnori Yamaguchi premiered the percussion concerto "Saidoki," composed and conducted by Maki Ishii, at the Berlin Arts Week. In 1992, Yasnori Yamaguchi released his solo CD "Illusion" on the Aeolus label. He is a part-time lecturer at Doshisha Women's University and a part-time lecturer at Osaka Kyoiku University. Member of "Ensemble Takemitsu".
