Program Notes

Every morning I wake up my kid by singing a song I make up off the top of my head. One morning’s song struck me as the base of a percussion ensemble piece, while feeling particularly hyped singing:

“Baby, baby; it’s time to get up! Baby, baby; it’s Friday, yeah, yeah!”

No need to vocalize these judiciously constructed lyrics while you play. The percussion parts will suffice.
