Program Notes

Seascapeis as its name suggests a seascape, from all the "marines" that adorn my home, flecked in flea market ... and a long contemplation of the seaside for over twenty years.

Various aspects of this landscape are evoked throughout this piece, articulated around the piano and the percussion: from the sea confined to breaking waves, it is still the law of the movement which governs the form and the writing.

Dialectic of mobile and motionless, movement of music or music of the movement, the percussion is part of this journey as so many revealing sounds of this universe.
