Commissioned by and composed for [[Leigh Howard Stevens]], the work was initially intended to be a concerto for marimba and orchestra. The three-movement work soon evolved into a piece for Stevens to perform with the world-renowned percussion chamber ensemble, NEXUS. After being transcribed for wind ensemble by the composer, only then did it finally achieve its original goal of being a concerto for marimba and orchestra. Full of memorable tunes, you will find yourself unconsciously singing the melodies long after the concert is over. Can be heard on the NEXUS CD, Lullaby (Available for sale as solo part only or Score and parts for solo with 5 Percussionists. Full score and parts for the Orchestra and Wind Ensemble versions are available for rental only.)
