Lathon Jernigan (DMA, The University of Texas; MM and BM in piano performance, Southern Methodist University). Dr. Jernigan is chair of the Theory/Composition Division of the School of Music at the University of Northern Iowa. Dr. Jernigan was a piano student of György Sándor, a conducting student of the late Pierre Monteux, a composition student of Hunter Johnson, and a theory student of Francis Keyser in Chicago.
