Czech composer. He studied composition at the Prague Conservatory E.Hlobila (1952-1956) and at the Academy for P.Bořkovce and then again at E.Hlobila (1956-1960). His great achievement was winning the International Composers Tribune UNESCO in Paris in 1967 (fifteen per song sheet by Dürer's Apocalypse). Many of his works had their premieres abroad (Serenade for Salzburg, Salzburger Festspiele to order 1979 ff.). As a sought-after composer for films and television productions (over 300 titles) can afford to be throughout his compositional path freelance. Twice he received important international awards for film music (Premio d'Italia in 1969 and the Prix d'Italia 1980). For film music Golet Valley and King Ubu received the Czech Lion (1995, 1996). She won international acclaim and his television opera Faustus. At the end of life with their songs she took part in concerts composer Quatro group, which has set a goal to return Czech contemporary music back into the consciousness of ordinary listeners.
